Where to put a cat tower so it actually gets used

Placement, sightlines, and the stability check to run before your cat gets involved.

Put a tower where your cat already chooses to sit: near a window, in a room the household passes through, away from the noisiest appliance in the home.

Leave a clear landing area around the base and keep the top platform below the ceiling by at least a foot so an adult cat can sit upright.

Before your cat uses it, push the tower firmly at the top platform. Any rocking means it needs to be levelled, moved against a wall, or anchored.
